3/11/2008 - Steelmaker Bluescope Steel Ltd says carbon pollution reduction schemes must be global and create a level playing field, otherwise some steel makers will be disadvantaged.
Bluescope chief executive Paul O'Malley told the ABC's Inside Business program that if a steelmaker in one country were subject to a higher carbon emissions tax, it would be disadvantaged if a competitor in another country were not subject to such a tax or had to pay less.
