Qld environmental licence fee hike is another blow to industry
The Queensland Government recently announced plans to increase environmental licence fees, adding a further cost burden to businesses already struggling as a result of the global economic and financial crisis and high energy and commodity prices.

The Australian Industry Group (Ai Group) is Australia's leading industry organisation representing 10,000 employers in manufacturing, construction, automotive, telecommunications, IT & call centres, transport, labour hire and other industries. Ai Group's members operate businesses of all sizes throughout Australia and represent a broad and expanding range of sectors.
Ai Group welcomes the opportunity to comment on the COAG Working Group on Climate Change and Water’s Design Options for the Expanded National Renewable Energy Target Scheme.
Ai Group is a member of the Australian Industry Greenhouse Network (AIGN) and supports the AIGN Submission on the RET. Our comments largely reinforce the AIGN submission. In addition we make specific comments on particular items.
